Katzenzungen translated means cat tongues and they're so so yummy. They taste amazing to some tea, or even better, dipping them into hot milk!
TOTAL TIME: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS

130g butter at room temperature

140g caster sugar

140g flour
-
few drops of almond extract
-
lemon zest
-
1 tsb vanilla extract
-
3-4 egg whites (depends on size)

200g dark chocolate
-
200g white chocolate
-
100g crushed almonds
1. beat the butter and the sugar together.

2. sieve the flour and add to the butter mixture. add a pinch of salt and beat well.

3. add the egg whites, the almond extract, vanilla extract, lemon zest and beat well.
​
4. using an icing bag, squeeze the batter onto a lined baking sheet, each biscuit should be about 4 cm long and 1 cm thick.
​
5. bake at 180°C for about 10 min, until the biscuits are golden brown.
​
6. melt the chocolates in two separate heat proof bowls, over simmering water. once the biscuits have cooled, dip one end into white or dark chocolate, and sprinkle some crushed almonds over them. Leave them to cool.
