KOFTA

You can serve it either warm or cold. We love to prepare it for summer, serving it with a yogurt dip. Kofta are great for barbecues or for any other festivities with friends. 

TOTAL TIME: 30 mins

INGREDIENTS

METHOD

1. Using a food processor, crush the white bread together with the fresh mint and thyme.

2. In a large bowl, mix (with your hands) the meat with the oil, herbs, and bread. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Form Kofta (just like on the photo). 

​

4. If you do a barbecue just grill the Kofta (for about 4 mins on each side). Otherwise, use a grill pan and just use a sprinkle of oil and grill the Kofta for about 4 mins on each side. 

​

Kofta taste best with Egyptian Tahina or Greek yogurt sauce!!

  • 250G minced beef

  • 250G minced lamb 

  • 50g white bread

  • 2 1/2 tbsp cumin 

  • 1 bunch of fresh mint 

  • 10g thyme

  • 1 tbsp lemon  

  • 5 tbsp olive oil 

  • salt & pepper
