PALATSCHINKEN
(Austrian Pancakes)
When you think of pancakes I'm sure you think of those super fluffy tasty ones covered in maple syrup or if you start to think about it for a little bit longer then you might think of the French's take - crêpe. Butttt Austrians have their very own version as well -- we call them PALATSCHINKEN :D and they are yummmayyy
TOTAL TIME: 20 minutes
makes 9
INGREDIENTS

60 ml milk
-
2 eggs
-
2 tbls sugar
-
1 Tsp vanilla sugar
-
pinch of salt
-
swig of heavy cream
-
butter for the pan
-
jam, nutella, honey or whatever else you want to fill them with
1. mix all the ingredients together

2. heat a pan and melt the butter
​
3. pour in a thin layer of the batter
​
4. let the palatschinken cook for about half a minute on each side, so you get a nice bronzed color
​
5. fill the palatschinken with whatever you want, and roll them up.
​
6. sprinkle some icing sugar over them.
​
7. GUTEN APPETIT!
